We were lucky enough to win the Mount Keen Main Path contract over seen by the Outdoor Access Trust for Scotland. The main purpose of the contract was to repair a large damage scar on the hillside created over many years by visitors and the elements. To do this we made a robust footpath created from materials all won on site with suitable stone build drainage features to secure the paths future.

The team set about their work to create a path that fitted into it’s surroundings using materials won on the hillside from the path margins. The work also was to repair the larger erosion scar which had formed over the years. The team installed robust stone cross drains and waterbars to deal with the water which was causing a lot of the erosion. They also constructed a new path to keep the surface high and dry with a top side ditch and stone risers and pitching.
