The hand build team were busy up on Lochnagar throughout the summer months of 2019 to do a major renovation on the main path. The team worked on around 1km of the path adding many more risers and sections of pitching. They added new stone drainage features and new ditching in areas. They stripped back and rebuilt existing sections and defined the route better in other areas.

Some of the work involved blocking up and landscaping multiple tine to control erosion on the hill. The last stage of the work is to resurface this 1km sections using the helicopter and skips
