Towards the run up to Christmas last year the bridge team spent six weeks replacing the old foot bridge at Glen Creran on the west coast, the old bridge had been condemned for four years due to rotting timber. An aerial mast ATV bridge was to be installed on a new line to the right of the existing bridge, with a new path and wing fencing. This was a challenging project to be involved with and took significate planning as the new structure would need to land perfectly on a five tonne boulder with the use of Gabion baskets to build up the new path line. The team did a great job, was able to deliver on time and with the high standard of finish we expect at ACT Heritage.
