Strontian Bridge replacement

In the heart of a challenging location, our team recently completed the replacement of a wooden beam footbridge—a project that tested both our resilience and resourcefulness. Accessing the site was no easy feat, requiring a 2km round trip with power barrows to transport materials. The beams, too large for conventional methods, were hauled uphill using a makeshift wheel trolley, ensuring every element reached its destination safely and efficiently.

The bridge’s foundations were laid in concrete, providing a stable and lasting base for the structure. To seamlessly integrate the bridge into its surroundings, we reinforced each side with locally sourced stone revetment and materials, enhancing durability while respecting the natural environment.

This project is a reflection of our commitment to quality, ingenuity, and hard work. Overcoming logistical hurdles and terrain challenges was no small task, but through collaboration and determination, we delivered a bridge that is built to stand the test of time.
